The 2026 Durango delivers robust engine performance, a spacious three-row interior and a suite of safety features for family road trips and memorable summer adventures.
“Dodge’s Durango is a family-friendly, three-row muscle SUV with the unique ability to seat up to seven and delivers best-in-class towing at every trim level,” says Matt McAlear, CEO at Dodge.
For the 2026 model year, engineers have strengthened the Durango’s muscle-car identity by increasing V8 engine capacities across the lineup.
The base GT delivers improved performance with an available HEMI V8, while the R/T steps up with a standard 6.4-liter engine. Dodge’s flagship SRT Hellcat trim churns out 710 hp, which makes it one of the most powerful gas-powered SUVs available on the road.
A debut Blacktop R/T Redline package is available for buyers seeking a Durango with the bold styling and aggressive appearance of the Hellcat without a high-performance engine.
The package adds a premium leather wrapped door trim and console, blacked-out exterior badging, 20-inch Black Noise wheels, SRT-style front and rear spoilers, black exhaust tips and leather-and-suede performance seats with red accent stitching.
An optional R/T Tow N Go package returns for 2026 with SRT-tuned steering, high-performance brakes, adaptive suspension, upgraded dual exhaust, widebody fender flares, electronic limited-slip rear differential and a best-in-class towing capacity of 8,700 pounds.
Engineers have incorporated SRT-inspired drive modes that fine-tune steering, throttle, transmission, suspension and the AWD system for optimal performance in different driving conditions.
These modes allow drivers to toggle between Normal, Sport, Tow, Snow and Custom settings for everyday driving, heavy-duty towing and demanding road conditions.
2026 Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak
The Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak is a special edition that allows buyers to customize nearly every detail of the three-row muscle SUV with 13 million possible customization combinations.
Customers can select from six wheel options, six available exterior colors including the all-new Green Machine, six badge colors, four brake caliper finishes, five interior colors schemes with five, six or seven seating configurations, five dual stripe styles and four seat belt colors.
A Jailbreak IP badge is embossed on the standard carbon-fiber dash and center console. A Dodge Concierge works directly with customers to bring their personal vision of a one-of-a-kind SUV to life.
The Durango Jailbreak maintains the same 6.2-liter engine with 710 hp and 645 Ib-ft of torque. All safety, tech and convenient features from the regular SRT Hellcat remain standard on this vehicle.
“Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak gives customers the opportunity to make their muscle SUV unique, unlocking combinations from exterior colors to stripes, badges, wheels and brake calipers to a wide variety of interior options,” McAlear says.

The top-of-the-line Durango SRT Hellcat generates 710 hp and 646 Ib-ft of torque which makes it the most powerful three-row SUV on the market today.
